Where the Times and the Direction Come From
IbadahApp works out prayer times from your coordinates, which is why they move by a minute or two from one day to the next.
The method used for the calculation is set for your country and printed right under the times, and you can switch it whenever you want.
The Qibla direction is the great-circle bearing from your position to the Kaaba, shown as a compass, a map line and a number in degrees.

How are these prayer times worked out?
They are calculated from your coordinates, using the method that is standard where you are. IbadahApp’s prayer times page explains the methods in full.
Your times are a few minutes off from my mosque. What now?
That is normal. Mosques often call the iqamah a little after the adhan, and different methods and schools shift the times as well. For congregation follow your mosque; you can also switch IbadahApp to the method your mosque uses.
Why do you need my location?
Prayer times and Qibla direction both depend on your coordinates, so they cannot be worked out without knowing where you are. If you would rather not allow it, search for your city instead.
Do I have to sign up or pay?
No. IbadahApp has no account, no subscription and no ads.
Do I need to install an app?
No, it runs in your browser. If you want it to feel like an app, add it to your home screen.
The compass is not turning. What can I do?
